Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. - Gal. 6:7 corn maze at altenburg's |
Fall/Autumn/Harvest - whatever you want to call it - is my favorite time of the year :) Leaves are brilliant colors of golds, reds, pinks, and oranges. Hayrides, perfect sweater weather, football, apple pies, and the pumpkins are ready to be picked and carved. And not only are the pumpkins ready to be harvested but many other foods that the farmers started in the springtime are ready as well, which God has graciously used to provide me with an incredible job!
It's been quite a while since I've last blogged so let me catch ya up. I lost my job as a receptionist in mid-July which was a tad scary at first because I had just accepted to go on this missions trip but I figured God did not want me there and he had plans to use me somewhere else and if he really wanted me to go on this trip he would provide - whether it was through friends and family or another job. For two weeks God provide babysitting opportunities and within that two weeks he provided a job as a waitress through a friend which was so awesome! The two weeks allowed me sometime to focus on the trip and prepare more and send letters out to family and friends and then I was hired on the spot. I worked there until the end of September until I started at Ocean Spray. God is just sooo great! It's hard to grasp. He has just blessed me week after week to keep me on track for this trip and constantly provided for me. And not only financially, but also inner peace and rest to trust in Him and encouragement and support from my friends and family and amazing opportunities to share my faith with others (I definitely need these opportunities so that I can be more comfortable and confident to share all the time) The last couple months have been incredible and make me all the more excited to get to Nicaragua.
The financial support and prayers I have received from family and friends has also just been immense! Thank you so much to everyone who has been able to donate and even those that can't your prayers mean so much :) My biggest prayer needs right now are that I really fight to set aside time with the Lord by myself to talk with Him and allow Him to work in me before I leave and also for continued financial support for the trip. I've currently have raised about $1400 (yeah, wow! :) ..)of the $4400 and 50% is due by the end of the month. Please pray about this and if you feel that you would like to join me financially that would be awesome! If not, please continue to just pray for me and for me teammates. I'm excited to know people just read these blogs and support what I am doing. And I know God will provide for this however he sees fit, so I'm not worried.
Trust in the Lord, with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways Acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5).

God's harvest has been so good to me. I pray that you all will also look to God to provide for you for whatever you may need (finances, health, healing, growth, etc). God wants to bless all His children so turn to Him, trust fully in Him, ask for His guidance. :) Sow faith in the Lord and reap His harvest all year
